So happy to be back. I fell off the bandwagon for a while, but I'm back. To stay. Life has been hectic for these past couple years. Still living the wife life, happy as can be.
Last couple of weeks my husband was gone on business. Those weeks when he is gone, I actually get a lot of things done the first few days. I deep clean the house. I declutter. I sew. Yes sew. I've recently started sewing. I'm still a beginner though. I've started two blankets/quilts. But, I've only finished the tops. I have yet to go purchase the batting a backing for the quilts. I will posts pictures when I have a little more progress so y'all can see. I also have time to read. I love to read.
Now he's back and I am as happy as can be! Now back to cooking, cleaning, ironing, and washing clothes on a regular basis. Seems like a lot of work but I love it! It gets rough, especially after a 40 hour week but I wouldn't change it for the world. I plan to keep y'all updated in my life. Let me know what you like to do when you have some alone time.
Life is good.

So last weekend my husband and I went back to our hometown to do some business. We both have our families there. My husband has a niece, she'll be four on Sunday. We asked her if she'd like to come stay with us for the week. She hesitated but agreed. Her mom was nervous and I have to admit, I was too. I don't have kids. I've never had to take care of kids longer than a few hours, let alone an entire week. But I said hey what's the worst that could happen. Lol.
So she came with us. It was about a 7 hr drive. Long trip with the, are we there yet?! Lol but it made me laugh. I remember doing that to my dad when I was little.
Well, its been three days and boy an I exhausted. This little girl talks and talks and talks. She wants to play 24/7. She follows me everywhere. She always wants to be at the park. Man, props to all you stay at home moms. Its fun but then again I like "me" time. And right now the only time I get is in the bathroom. We'll see how the rest of the week turns out. But right now its almost 10:30 pm and im on my phone because I haven't been alone all day. And I miss my husband. When he gets home, my niece is all over him until she gets put to bed. We hardly talk. But oh well, it's just one week. I'll keep everyone posted. Bye for now.
Life is good. (But hectic)

Now what am I going to make today for dinner? I already made mole, beans, beef stew, and sausage pasta with Vodka sauce this week. I'm thinking Mexican spaghetti and thin cut beef sirloin steak. Yum! If you hadn't already figured it out yet, yes I'm Mexican. So most of my meals are mainly Mexican food. But I like to throw in Italian food. Mix it up a little. I don't know how to cook everything yet but I am learning. I might just post a few Mexican recipes on here if anyone is interested. Let me know!
Well, I better get to cleaning this apartment. Tell me how such a tiny place gets so messy with only two people living in it. You would think we have kids. Well let me start before the MR. gets home and asks what I've been doing all day. Gee, I don't know, not writing my blog. :)
One last thing before I let you get back to life, I am working on organizational projects. Here is one I thought I'd share. It's pretty quite cheap, all you need is a hanger, and shower curtain hooks. I use this to hang my tank tops. It saves so much space and now they don't get lost in my drawers. I can easily find the one I need without having to search and search. I have mine on a plastic clothes hanger but I'm going to switch to a metal one. I think it will hold better. Let me know what you think.
Ok now really, bye!

Lets start off with my life. I am married, have been for a year and a half. I currently do not work as we move around a lot with my husband's job. We just moved in to our new apartment and let me tell you its pretty amazing. I had never lived in an apartment and I had ALWAYS wanted to. I went from being in a three bedroom house with my parents straight to a four bedroom house with my husband. I went to a local college so I always lived at home. I never got the "college feeling". NOW, I get to live in an apartment, and I've loving it. Its small but not too small. Its just right for my husband and I. It's a two bedroom second floor apt. I couldnt be happier.
Life is good.
